Skye Murtagh is a qualified journalist who has worked within South Australia’s communications arena for the past 15 years.
Originally wooed to Adelaide from Brisbane to join the ratings-winning breakfast team at SA.FM, Skye left the radio world in 1998 to branch into event management.
She was involved in the successful delivery of numerous high profile projects including three Music Business Adelaide events (now known as Fuse Festival), Garma (the Yothu Yindi Foundation’s annual festival in North East Arnhem Land) and several national conferences eg: the Second Annual Wine Industry Environment Conference.
From Jan 2004 – Feb 2010, Skye was employed as a consultant with a leading Adelaide-based PR & Marketing firm. During this time she worked with a range of clients across a broad spectrum of industries including retail, manufacturing, property, hospitality and the arts. Her role involved liaising closely with clients and media in the formulation and execution of effective communication strategies.
In April 2010, Skye established her own business – SDM Communications Pty Ltd – which offers both corporate/creative writing services and publicity.
